My part in it

I'm the founder of Heard, a phone line for blind and low-vision callers, live at heard.teww.org. The idea was mine. I did not write the code. A different person built the platform I run, and I want this page to say so rather than leave it for someone to guess.

My part was starting Heard and shaping what it should do. I stand behind it in public.

The numbers, and where they come from

Since launch, by my own count: over 1,000 calls answered, 200 listeners, 11 languages. I track that count myself. No outside audit backs it, and I would rather you know that than take the number at face value.
